Found Portrait of Joe Dallesandro
Copy of Joe, Jeanne and Angie, 2012
A bookwork featuring mostly blank pages, with a centre spread reprinting the lyrics to The Rolling Stones' 1973 song Angie and the Smiths' Jeanne, which share similar themes of despair and loves inability to overcome poverty. The front cover features a still of Joe Dallesandro from Andy Warhol's film Flesh, cropped as it appears on the Smiths' debut LP and the back cover a close-up of Dallesandro's crotch, which Warhol used for the design of The Rolling Stones' LP Sticky Fingers.
The spine of the book opens to create a portrait of the Factory actor, using the only two LP covers he appeared on.
